How long does a domain Propagation take


There is an average period of 24 hours for the propagation of a new subdomain record to be fully completed.


However, it is worth noting that in most cases propagation already starts within the first 5 minutes after the record is created.


How to check whether the address has already propagated


You can track your domain's propagation using the application called "Command Prompt".


To access it on a computer with the Windows operating system, follow the tutorial below.


  1. Click the start icon on your computer, and in the search field type "command prompt";



  1. Next, a screen will open where you will have to look up the address you pointed to GreatPages.


You need to enter the "ping" command before typing the address you want to look up, as in the example below.



  1. Just below, the server address your domain is pointing to will appear.


If it is being pointed to the IP address below, it means it is reaching our server.
