How to SET UP the CAA RECORD on your domain
The CAA type record serves to authorize the SSL certificate authority (the security certificate for pages) to generate certificates for a given domain.
If there is any CAA type record registered on your domain, you will also need to have the authorization record for the certificate authority Sectigo (the company that provides this service to us) so that we can generate the certificates for your pages.
Therefore, go into your domain management panel (DNS zone) and check whether there is any "CAA" type record.
If there is one, and it does not contain the name "sectigo" in the record data, you will need to follow the guidelines below:
- Click to add a new DNS Record;
- Select the record type as "CAA";
- To fill in the fields, use the guidelines below as a reference:

Keep in mind that each DNS management panel has different guidelines, as well as different names for the fields. Therefore, the tutorial above may change according to the platform you are accessing.
If you need any help to confirm that the records you are creating are correct, contact our customer service team through the chat inside GreatPages.
