How to point a subdomain using REGISTRO.BR

Log in to your Registro.br account and select the domain you want to point.
On the next screen, as shown in the image below, scroll down.

At this stage, the DNS Zone section may appear in one of two ways: the first option is called “Configurar redirecionamento”, and the second is called “Configurar Zona de DNS”. Click whichever option appears for you.

If you cannot find either of these options, check which platform is managing your domain, as the DNS record must be configured directly through that platform.

If the “Configurar redirecionamento” option appears, click “modo avançado”, the gray button.

If the “Configurar Zona de DNS” option appears, you will be taken directly to the DNS configuration panel. Continue to step 7.

Confirm the action by clicking “Sim”. After doing so, you may need to wait up to 2 hours for the configuration options to become available.

You will then see the “Nova entrada” button enabled. Click it.

Next, complete the following steps:

Under “Tipo”, select CNAME.
Under “Nome”, enter the subdomain you want to use.
Under “Nome do Servidor”, enter: cname.greatpages.com.br

Finally, click “Adicionar” and then click “Salvar alterações”.

After completing the configuration, it may take between 2 and 48 hours for the domain to fully propagate.

Please note that the subdomain you point to GreatPages must not already be in use on another website outside GreatPages. For example, if you already use “www” on another website, you will not be able to use it on your GreatPages pages.
