How to VERIFY A DOMAIN on FACEBOOK ADS with GreatPages
How to verify a domain on Facebook using a TXT FILE
- Access your Business Manager on Facebook, go to the "Brand safety" menu and then click on "Domains";

- After that, click to "Add" a new domain, or if you already have a registered domain you want to verify, simply open that domain;

- If you clicked to Add, a small box like the one below will open, where you will need to enter the domain you want to register;

- After registering the domain and clicking "Save", you will be redirected to a tab where you will need to change the verification type you will use to "Update the DNS TXT record with your domain registrar";

- Next, copy the record shown in the image below, as you will need it in the next steps;

- Now, access the platform where you manage your domain's DNS (this is usually the platform where you purchased the domain);
- Within this platform, open the "DNS zone editor", and click to add a new record;
- Enter the "Type" TXT entry;
Add @ to the "Host" (or "Name") field, only if required;
Paste the TXT record copied from Facebook Business Manager into the record field and save the settings.
- After the changes propagate on your domain's Web servers, click the “Verify domain” button inside Facebook;

Done! Your domain is now verified!
How to verify a domain on Facebook using the META TAG
- Access your Business Manager on Facebook, go to the "Brand safety" menu and then click on "Domains";

- After that, click to "Add" a new domain, or if you already have a registered domain you want to verify, simply open that domain;

- If you clicked to Add, a small box like the one below will open, where you will need to enter the domain you want to register;

- After registering the domain and clicking "Save", you will be redirected to a tab containing the domain verification "Meta tag", which you should copy at this point;

Once you have the verification Meta tag in hand, you will need to log in to your GreatPages account and follow the steps below:
- Access your page editor;

- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen;

- Open the "Javascript & CSS" menu;

- Click to "Adicionar" a new code;

- Give your code a name, select the "Funcionamento" option (it is essential to use this setting) and then add the Meta tag you copied from Facebook into the text field. It will look exactly like the example below;

- Next, click on "Salvar"!
- If your page is already published, click on "Atualizar"; if it isn't published yet, publish it;

- After that, go back to the Facebook Business Manager screen to validate the verification by clicking the "Verify domain" button.

Done! Your domain is now verified!
