How to INDEX a SITE ON GOOGLE with GreatPages
To speed up the process of indexing your site on Google, follow the steps below:
Adding keywords
Keywords are the main instrument of a search; they are terms made up of one or more words.
They are the way a user writes their question in search engines in order to get answers and solve their problems.
Basically, keywords are the main instruments of a search.
Ideally, you should use them several times in the site's texts and also include the main keyword in your page title. See below how to do this.
Configuring "Informações e SEO"
There are some settings, inside GreatPages, that you will need to configure so that the site appears in search engines.
They are:
- Enabling the page to actually appear in search engines;
- Page title and description;
- Keywords and favicon.

Signing up for Google Search Console
"Google Search Console" is a Google tool that makes it easier to track the performance of your pages/sites.
Through this tool you learn about your pages, about the people who visit them and, at the same time, monitor their performance in Google results.
The purpose of using Google Search Console in this case is precisely so that Google notices your page more quickly and therefore ranks it faster.
Follow the step by step below to create your own Google Search Console account.
- Go to https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome;
- Registering your site: Google Search Console lets you register your main domain or some specific pages of your domain. Select your option and then, on the screen below, enter the desired page.

- Once registered, you will be asked to verify that this page really is yours. To do this, just access your domain's DNS zone and create a "TXT" type record with the content provided at the time of registration.

- In the "Name" field, enter only your site's name. In the "Record" field, enter the value provided in the Google Search Console panel and then click "Add Record".

Finally, after verifying ownership of the site, Google Search Console will be ready to use.
Adding the Sitemap inside Google Search Console
The sitemap is a text file created to make the process of indexing pages in search engines easier.
In general, search engines discover new pages from links present in those that have already been indexed.
We will add your site's sitemap to Google Search Console with exactly this goal. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Select your site on your Google Search Console home page;
- Click "Sitemaps" in the menu located on the left side of your screen.

- Next, type sitemap.xml in the text field next to your domain, just like the example below;

- Click "Submit".
