How to CREATE AN A/B TEST on GreatPages

  1. Inside GreatPages, click on “A/B Test” in the navigation bar;

  1. Click “Create A/B Test” and select the page you want to use in the experiment;

  1. After that, select the page where you want to run the experiment;

  1. Enter the experiment name and description, then click “Create A/B Test”;

Esses campos ajudam a identificar o que está sendo testado (ex: cor de botão, título, imagem, etc).

  1. In the “Variations” section, you can:

  • Duplicate the original page (by clicking on the three dots and selecting “Duplicate”), or;
  • Create a new variation by clicking “Add variation”.

The variation is a copy of the original page where you will make changes for testing.

There are 7 variations, but we recommend a maximum of 5 to avoid negatively affecting yhe distribution of visits.

  1. When creating a variation, add a hypothesis (test description)..

Example: “Blue button”, “Urgent title”, etc.

  1. After that, in the variations list, set the display percentage for each variation.

Example: 50% / 50% splits equally between two versions.

  1. Edit each variation by clicking “Edit design” and making the desired changes. Use the “Preview” button (play icon) to view each variation before starting the test..

  1. Click “Start experiment” to begin the test.

Once started, it will not be possible to edit the variations, so review everything beforehand.

During the experiment

  • You will be able to track metrics such as:
  • Conversion rate
  • Visits
  • Impressions
  • Conversions

Finishing the test

  • The test does not finish automatically.
  • When you have sufficient data, click “Finish experiment..

The best-performing variation will be set as the primary one.
The other variations will be discarded and cannot be recovered.

We recommend duplicating important pages before starting the test to avoid losing content.
