How to CREATE AN A/B TEST on GreatPages
- Inside GreatPages, in the navigation bar, click on “Teste A/B”.
- Click on “Criar Teste A/B” and select the page you want to use in the experiment;
- Fill in the name and the description of the experiment, then click on “Criar Teste A/B”;
These fields help identify what is being tested (e.g.: button color, headline, image, etc).
- In the “Variações” section, you can:
- Duplicate the original page (by clicking on the three dots and selecting “Duplicar”), or
- Create a new variation by clicking on “Adicionar variação”.
A variation is a copy of the original page where you will make changes for the test.
- When creating a variation, add a hypothesis (test description).
Example: “Blue button”, “Headline with urgency”, etc.
- Set the display percentage for each variation.
Example: 50% / 50% splits visits equally between two versions.
- Edit each variation by clicking on “Editar” and make the desired changes. Use the “Preview” button (play icon) to view each variation before starting the test.
- Click on “Iniciar experimento” to start the test.
After starting it, it will not be possible to edit the variations, so review everything beforehand.
During the experiment
- You will be able to follow metrics such as:
- Taxa de conversão (conversion rate)
- Visitas (visits)
- Impressões (impressions)
- Conversões (conversions)
Finishing the test
- The test does not finish automatically.
- When you have enough data, click on “Finalizar experimento”.
The best performing variation will be set as the main one.
The other variations will be discarded and cannot be recovered.
