# How to point a subdomain using LOCAWEB

1. Go to the Locaweb website and click the **Central do Cliente** icon;
2. Then enter your username and password;
3. Find the Domain Registration product under **Meus Produtos**;
4. Then click the **Registro de domínio** icon;
5. Find the domain you want to change and click **Administrar**;
6. On the selected domain, choose the **Consulte** option and change the DNS zone in the **Zona de DNS** section.
7. Inside your domain's DNS zone, click the **Adicionar Entrada** button.

| If there is a Proxy setting, disable it!

Select the record type **"CNAME"**;
Under **"entrada"** add the subdomain you'll use *(e.g.: "www", "lp", "produtos")*;
Under priority, add "10";
Under **"conteúdo"** add "cname.greatpages.com.br".
Then click "adicionar entrada".

**That's it! After this, the domain may take up to 48 hours to propagate.**

It's important to note that the subdomain you point must not be in use on any other website outside GreatPages. For example: if you already use “www” on another website, you won't be able to use it on your pages.

|| If you choose to use the WWW subdomain, we recommend also creating an A record so that your LP can be accessed without the www as well.
