# How to point a subdomain using GOOGLE DOMAINS

1. Sign in to Google Domains;
2. Click on the domain you want to update;
3. Open the **menu**;
4. Click the **DNS** icon;
5. Scroll down to the **Custom resource records** section. Choose the type of custom resource record you want to use.

| If there is a Proxy setting, disable it!

For a **CNAME** record, use these values:
In the first field, type the subdomain you want to use.
In the drop-down menu, select CNAME.
In the **TTL** field, type "1H."
In the **data** field, enter “cname.greatpages.com.br”.
Click **Add**.

For an **A** record, use these values:
In the first field, type "@".
In the drop-down menu, select A.
In the **TTL** field, type "1H."
In the **data** field, enter the IP address “104.17.57.49" or "104.17.58.49”.
Click **Add**.

That's it! After this, the domain may take up to 48 hours to propagate.

| It's important to note that the subdomain you point must not be in use on any other website outside GreatPages. For example: if you already use “www” on another website, you won't be able to use it on your pages.
