# How to apply a DELAY TO BLOCKS in GreatPages

You can natively set an **opening delay for a specific block (or blocks)** on the page. Here is a step-by-step guide on how it works: 

1. Access the page editor;

2. Locate the block for which you want to set the delay and click "**Edit**" in the top-left corner of the screen;

3. The editing screen will open; click on the "**Configure**" menu to find the "**Display Delay**" option. Here, you can set the delay duration: the first field is for **minutes**, and the second is for **seconds**;

4. Once you do this, the "**Delay only on first visit**" option becomes available. If enabled, returning visitors will not have to wait for the delay again;

5. That’s it—the setup is complete! To test it, click the "**Preview**" icon in the top-right corner of the editor screen;

6. In the page preview, a small box will appear indicating the delay and offering the option to skip the wait time to view the hidden blocks. 

|| This box does not appear on the published page! It only shows up in the preview so you can skip the wait time if necessary.
