# How to add an EXTERNAL LINK in GreatPages

In **GreatPages** you can trigger an **External link** through a click on a button, an image, an icon or a text.

1. Access your page editor;

2. No matter which element it is, you will need to click on **"Edit"**;

3. After that, a settings screen will open on the left side, where you will need to click on **"add link"**;

||| To add this function to a text, you first need to select it (as if you were going to copy it), click on Editar and then add the external link.

4. Next, select the **"Link Externo"** option;

5. When you do this, a field will open for you to add the link, along with the option to open it in a new tab or not.
