# Can I CHANGE MY PLAN whenever I want?

Switching plans within GreatPages can be done at any time.

###### UPGRADE

If your intention is to **__upgrade__**, at the time of the change you will only pay the difference between the plans.

###### DOWNGRADE

And if you want to **__downgrade__**, the value of the newly chosen plan will be applied to the next invoice.

If you try to downgrade and the lower plan is not available for selection, that means you have more published pages or registered domains than the plan allows.

In this case, you need to adjust your account before requesting the downgrade.

Another important point about switching plans is that if there is an open invoice, that is, an invoice that has been generated but not paid, **the downgrade will only take effect in the next subscription cycle, upon payment of the open invoice**.

If the subscription renewal was generated less than three days ago, you will be able to downgrade without having to pay that invoice, as it will be replaced by the charge corresponding to the new plan.

If more than three days have passed since the renewal was generated, you will not be able to downgrade while the invoice is open. First, you will need to make the payment and then request the downgrade.
